Step 1: Visit the Intranet Portal

  • Open the India Post Intranet Portal on your departmental system:
    ???? https://intranet.indiapost.gov.in (Accessible only within DoP network)
    or sometimes through the SAP/CSI Employee Corner link on your system.


Step 2: Login to the Portal

Use your Employee ID and Password (same as CSI/HRMS credentials).
Navigate to:

Employee Corner → Departmental Examination → LDCE Application


Step 3: Select the Examination

From the list of available exams, select:

LDCE for Promotion to LSG (Postmaster Grade I)

or LDCE for Promotion to HSG-II / HSG-I, as applicable.

Click “Apply” next to the correct exam.


Step 4: Fill Application Details

Enter the following:

  • Employee Name (auto-fetched)

  • Office Name & Division

  • Employee ID & Date of Birth

  • Category (UR/SC/ST)

  • Present Designation & Date of Appointment

  • Service Details & Tenure in Present Post

  • Choice of Exam Centre (Circle/Region specific)

Check details carefully before submission.


Step 5: Upload Documents (if required)

Some Circles require scanned copies of:

  • Service Book (first page)

  • ID Card / Photo

  • Declaration Form signed by the applicant

Ensure that files are clear and under the specified size limit (generally ≤2MB per file).


Step 6: Verify & Submit

After filling in all information:

  • Click “Preview” to verify your details.

  • Click “Submit” once confirmed.

A confirmation message and Application Reference Number will be displayed.


Step 7: Forwarding by Divisional Head

After submission:

  • The application goes to the Divisional Office for verification and approval.

  • The Divisional Superintendent will forward it to the Circle Office online.

You can check your application status under:

Employee Corner → My Applications → Application Status


Step 8: Admit Card Download

Once approved and the exam schedule is released:

  • Visit the same portal and download your Admit Card.

  • Admit cards are usually released 10–15 days before the exam.


Documents to Keep Ready

  • Service Book (first page)

  • Recent Passport-size Photo (JPEG)

  • ID Proof (Employee ID / Aadhaar)

  • Category Certificate (SC/ST, if applicable)

  • Declaration Form (as per notification format)
