After merger into General Line (LSG/HSG-II/HSG-I), the Departmental LDCE pattern now includes:

Total Marks: 250
Qualifying Marks: 40% (UR), 33% (SC/ST)
Exam Mode: Objective + Descriptive (Offline OMR or Written Paper)

Duration & Medium

  • Total Duration: 4–5 hours (split across multiple papers)

  • Medium: English or Hindi (as per Circle notification)

  • Type: Combination of objective, descriptive, and drafting questions


Evaluation & Selection

  • Based on total marks secured in all papers.

  • Ties resolved by seniority and service record.

  • Final selection subject to availability of vacancies in the concerned Circle.
