• GDS Recruitment is merit-based on 10th (Matriculation) marks.

• There is no written or online exam.

• Therefore, the “syllabus” refers to Class 10 subjects that contribute to your merit.

  These are eligibility criteria but not scored in merit:

  1. Computer Knowledge – Basic computer certificate (minimum 60 days)

  2. Local Language Proficiency – Ability to read, write, and speak the local language of the postal circle applied for

  • Postal Rules & Services – Mail delivery, stamps, savings schemes

  • Customer Handling Skills – Communication and record-keeping
