Candidate must know the local language of the postal circle applied for.
Ability to read, write, and speak the local language is mandatory.
Candidate must be:
Citizen of India, or
Subject of Nepal / Bhutan, or
Tibetan refugee who came to India before Jan 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
Person of Indian origin (PIO) who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc., with the intention to settle in India permanently.
Must have valid Aadhaar card or other government ID proof.
Should be physically and medically fit to perform postal duties.
Selection is merit-based on 10th marks, so good marks in Mathematics and English can boost chances.
Candidates cannot apply for a postal circle outside their domicile state unless specifically allowed.
Computer training certificate is mandatory — without it, application may be rejected.
