1. Role & Job Profile

  • Role Overview: As an Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) in the employee category, your primary task will be recruiting and training LIC agents, overseeing their performance, and driving insurance sales in your assigned territory 

  • Training Phase: The position begins with a structured Apprentice Period involving both theoretical instruction and field training, followed by a probationary period

Apprenticeship Stipend

  • Apprentice Period: Employee-category candidates receive a stipend "as per norms based on their previous emoluments" rather than the standard figure of ₹34,503/month 

Post-Probation Salary

  • Basic Pay Scale: ₹21,865 – ₹55,075 (structured increments over time) 

  • Typical In-Hand Salary (A-Class City): Around ₹37,345/month after including allowances 

  • Estimated Range: ₹34,503–₹37,345 during training and probation phases 

  • In-Hand Compensation (Experienced ADO): Approximately ₹45,000–₹55,000 per month, depending on location and allowances

  • Dearness Allowance (DA): Variable, around 40% of basic pay, adjusted quarterly 

  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): Varies by city; generally 7–9% of the basic pay
