The IBPS Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria include requirements related to nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications. Below are the detailed eligibility conditions:

1. Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be:

  • Citizen of India, OR
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, OR
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, OR
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), or Vietnam intending to settle in India permanently.

Note: Candidates under points 2, 3, and 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

2. Age Limit (As on the specified date in the notification)

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age Relaxation: (for reserved categories)



3. Educational Qualification (As on the specified date in the notification)

  • Graduation Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Computer Proficiency:

  • Basic knowledge of computers is mandatory.
  • Candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Computer Operations or studied Computer/IT as one of the subjects in high school, college, or institute.

Language Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in the official language of the state/UT for which the candidate is applying (reading, writing, and speaking).

4. Other Requirements:

  • Valid Documents: Candidates must provide proper ID proof, mark sheets, and certificates during the application process.
  • Criminal Record-Free: Candidates should have no criminal record or pending legal issues.
