The SBI PO (Probationary Officer) exam is conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI) to recruit officers in various branches of the bank. The exam has three phases: Preliminary, Main, and Interview. Here's the syllabus for each phase:

The Mains exam consists of four sections:

3. SBI PO Interview

The Interview will be conducted for candidates who qualify the Mains exam. The interview typically consists of 20-30 marks.

  • Situation-based questions

Final Selection is based on the combined performance in Mains and Interview, with the interview being an important deciding factor in the final merit list.

Important Notes:

  • Negative Marking: There is a penalty for wrong answers in both Prelims and Mains exams (0.25 marks).
  • Descriptive Test (Mains): A writing test that includes Letter Writing and Essay Writing. This is only in the Mains exam and carries 50 marks.
