Current Affairs (National & International) of last 6–12 months
Static GK: Countries & capitals, Currencies, Famous events/people, Awards & honours
Indian Economy basics: GDP, inflation, fiscal/monetary policy; Union Budget & Economic Survey
Government schemes & initiatives; important committees & reports; international organisations (IMF, World Bank, WTO…)
Banking Awareness:
Banking terms & abbreviations; types of banks and their functions
Reserve Bank of India policies & monetary policy; financial institutions (e.g., NABARD, SIDBI)
Digital banking & payment systems (NEFT, RTGS, UPI, etc)
Banking technology innovations; BASEL norms; recent mergers & acquisitions in banking sector
Time allocation: Since General/Economy/Banking awareness has highest weight (50 marks), allocate significant time to that.
Mock tests: Practise full-length timed tests with sectional time limits as per the pattern to build speed & stamina.
Current affairs: For banking & economy awareness, keep updated with last 6–12 months’ major developments (budgets, policies, bank mergers).
Data interpretation: Since two sections cover this area (Quant & Data), regularly visualise graphs/charts and interpret quickly.
Computer aptitude: Many candidates may underestimate this—basic knowledge and keyboard shortcuts are likely sufficient; don’t ignore.
English: Building vocabulary + grammar + reading comprehension is key; practise para‐jumbles and cloze tests.
Revision: Maintain revision notes especially for banking terminologies, abbreviations, policy changes — these often appear in awareness section.
Sectional strategy: Be mindful of sectional time limits (e.g., English only 25 mins) so that you don’t lag in one section and lose time for others.
