1. Nationality / Citizenship
Candidates must be any one of the following:
A citizen of India.
A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, etc) with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit
Minimum age: 20 years as on cut-off date.
Maximum age: 30 years as on cut-off date.
Example: For the 2025 recruitment the cut-off date is 1 August 2025, meaning candidate born not earlier than 2 August 1995 and not later than 1 August 2005.
Age Relaxation (upper age limit) as per category:
SC/ST: +5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): +10 years (general category)
Ex-Servicemen (specified conditions): +5 years
Persons affected by 1984 riots: +5 years
3. Educational Qualification
Candidate must hold a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India or equivalent.
The candidate must possess the valid mark‐sheet / degree certificate at the time of registration.
4. Work Experience (“Post‐Basic Qualification Experience”)
Minimum of 18 months (1.5 years) work experience in Officer cadre in any Public Sector Bank or Regional Rural Bank, on a regular basis.
5. Local Language Proficiency
Proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) in the local/state language of the state you apply for may be required.
The cut-off dates for age, education, experience are specified in the official notification — you must check them for the year you apply.
If you fail to meet any one of the criteria (age, education, experience, nationality) your application may be rejected.
