Syllabus Overview & Sections

1. Quantitative Ability / Mathematical Aptitude

Key topics:

  • Number systems, LCM & HCF, divisibility.

  • Time & work, pipes & cisterns.

  • Time, speed & distance, problems on trains/boats.

  • Ratios & proportions, averages.

  • Profit & loss, simple & compound interest.

  • Geometry & coordinate geometry, mensuration.

  • Permutations & combinations, probability, indices/surds.

  • Algebra, ages, mixtures & allegations.

2. Logical / Analytical Reasoning

Topics include:

  • Seating arrangements (linear/circular), puzzles.

  • Blood relations, directional sense, coding-decoding.

  • Number/letter series, odd one out, analogies & classifications.

  • Data sufficiency, data interpretation (in some cases).

  • Syllogisms, logical word sequence.

3. Verbal Ability / English

Topics include:

  • Reading comprehension passages.

  • Grammar: tenses, articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, error spotting.

  • Vocabulary: synonyms, antonyms, idioms, contextual usage.

  • Para jumbles, sentence completion, fill-in-blanks.

  • Written communication: essay/paragraph writing (for some drives).

4. Coding / Programming Logic (for technical roles)

For roles where coding is involved, topics may include:

  • Array manipulations, string operations.

  • Data structures: linked lists, stacks, queues, etc.

  • Searching & sorting algorithms, recursion, matrices operations.

  • Problem-solving in C, C++, Java, Python.

5. Written Communication / Essay (in many drives)

  • Usually 1 essay question on a general/technical topic.

  • Focus on structure, clarity, grammar, vocabulary, coherence.

Typical Pattern / Approximate Number of Questions & Time

Here are sample numbers based on recent drives:

  • Quantitative: ~ 16 questions in ~ 16 minutes.

  • Logical: ~ 14 questions in ~ 14 minutes.

  • Verbal: ~ 18-22 questions in ~ 18 minutes.

  • Coding: ~ 2 questions, ~ 60 minutes (for technical roles).

  • Written Communication: ~ 1 essay, ~ 20 minutes.

  • Total duration often ~ 128 minutes in some recent “Turbo” / “Elite” drives.

Preparation Tips

  • Focus on speed & accuracy for Quantitative & Logical sections due to short time.

  • Practice puzzles, series, blood relations for Logical section—these are frequently tricky.

  • For Verbal, build vocabulary, practise para jumbles and reading comprehensions.

  • If your role has coding: pick one language you are comfortable with and solve problems on arrays, strings, sorting/searching.

  • Write essays practice: choose topics from tech, economy, society; focus on structure (intro, body, conclusion).

  • Take full mock tests under timed conditions to simulate the test environment.

  • Review your mistakes and work to improve both speed and correctness.
