Full-time programmes only (no part-time / correspondence / distance for the main degree) for many drives.
Required educational qualifications:
10th Standard: Typically 60% or above (or equivalent CGPA).
12th Standard: Typically 60% or above (or equivalent).
Graduation: Often 60% (or 6.0 CGPA) or above, depending on role & batch.
Degree/Streams:
For roles like Project Engineer / Elite/NTH: B.E./B.Tech (or 5-yr integrated ME/MTech) in eligible branches (often excluding fashion, agriculture, food & textile engineering in certain drives)
For other programmes like WILP: BCA / BSc in specified fields (CS/IT/Maths/Stats/Electronics/Physics) may be eligible.
Year of Passing / Batch: The drive will specify which graduation year(s) are eligible (e.g., 2024, 2025).
Backlogs: Many drives require no active backlogs at the time of joining or selection; some allow certain stages with 1 backlog (e.g., in assessment stage) but require all cleared before onboarding.
Educational Gaps: Maximum gap allowed between schooling/graduation start in many drives (e.g., up to 3 years gap between 10th and start of graduation) and some drives require no gap during graduation.
Citizenship / Nationality: Usually Indian citizen or PIO/OCI eligible; some drives mention Bhutan/Nepal nationals must submit citizenship certificate.
For example, the “Elite NTH” drive for Wipro lists:
10th & 12th: 60% or above
Graduation (B.E./B.Tech etc): 60% or equivalent CGPA
Allowed 1 backlog at the assessment stage; graduation must be full-time recognised course.
For the “WILP” (Work Integrated Learning Program) drive:
Graduation: BSc/BCA in specified fields, 60%/6.0 CGPA or above.
One backlog may be allowed at early stage, with requirement to clear before completion.
Whenever you see a Wipro freshers drive, make sure you check:
The exact batch year(s) eligible (e.g., “2025 pass out”).
The minimum percentage/CGPA requirements for 10th/12th/graduation.
Allowed backlogs and whether they must be cleared by a certain stage.
Allowed gap years, and if any restriction on distance education/open schooling.
Which branches/streams are eligible for engineering drives (or other degree streams for non-engineering).
Whether relocation / shifts / work location expectations are mentioned.
Any service agreement / bond (especially in certain learning/training programmes).
