Step 1: Check Official Notification

  • Visit the India Post Vacancies page: https://www.indiapost.gov.in/vacancies

  • Look for MTS recruitment notifications for your postal circle (e.g., Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra).

  • Read the notification carefully to check:

    • Eligibility criteria

    • Age limit

    • Educational qualification

    • Application fee

    • Important dates (start and end of online application)

       Some MTS posts are recruited via SSC (Staff Selection Commission), so also check SSC Official Website if specified in the notification.


Step 2: Registration

  • For India Post circle-specific recruitment: https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in

  • Click “New Registration”

  • Fill in:

    • Name

    • Date of birth

    • Mobile number

    • Email ID

    • Select postal circle / state you are applying for

  • You will receive a registration number and password/OTP via email/SMS


Step 3: Fill the Online Application Form

  • Log in using your registration credentials

  • Enter personal details, educational qualifications, and communication address

  • Choose the post: Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

  • Upload scanned copies of:

    • Passport-size photograph

    • Signature

    • Educational certificates (10th pass)

    • Caste / category certificate (if applicable)


Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

  • Pay online via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI

  • Typical fee:

    • General / OBC / EWS: ₹100

    • SC / ST / PwBD / Women: usually exempted

  • Keep the payment confirmation screenshot for reference


Step 5: Submit the Application

  • Review all details carefully

  • Click Final Submit

  • Take a printout or PDF copy of the submitted application and payment receipt for your records


Step 6: Follow Up

  • Admit card will be released on the official portal only

  • Keep checking for:

    • Exam date

    • Admit card download

    • Results / merit list

    • Skill test / physical test dates (if applicable)

  • Apply only through official India Post or SSC websites

  • Ensure scanned documents meet size and format requirements

  • Only apply to your postal circle
