1. Nationality / Citizenship

Candidates must be one of the following:

• A citizen of India

• A subject of Nepal or Bhutan

• Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

• Persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

2. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: Usually 25 years for General category candidates

• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules:

  • SC/ST: +5 years

  • OBC: +3 years

  • PwBD: +10 years (general), +13 years (OBC), +15 years (SC/ST)

  • Ex-Servicemen: As applicable

• Age is calculated as on the closing date of application

3. Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 10th pass (Secondary School Certificate) from a recognized board

• Knowledge of local language of the state/region is desirable in some circles

4. Other Requirements

• Medical Fitness: Candidates must be physically and medically fit for performing routine MTS duties

• Experience: Not required for direct recruitment; however, internal candidates may have experience requirements

• Documents: Valid certificates for age, education, caste/category, and other supporting documents
