AAO (Specialist)


1. Nationality

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years

  • Maximum Age: 30 years (as on notification date)

???? That means candidates must be born not earlier than a given cut-off year and not later than the notification date.

Age Relaxation (as per Govt. rules):

  • SC / ST → 5 years

  • OBC (Non-creamy layer) → 3 years

  • PwBD (General/EWS) → 10 years

  • PwBD (OBC) → 13 years

  • PwBD (SC/ST) → 15 years

  • Ex-servicemen, confirmed LIC employees → extra relaxation as per rules.

3. Educational Qualification (Stream-wise)

4. Number of Attempts

  • No fixed limit.

  • Candidates can attempt till the maximum age limit (with relaxation if applicable).


In short:

  • Age: 21–30 years (with relaxations)

  • Graduation is mandatory + specialization-specific qualification (IT/CA/Actuarial/Legal/Rajbhasha).

  • Must be an Indian citizen.

Post Educational Qualification
AAO (IT) Graduation in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, Electronics) / MCA / M.Sc (CS) from a recognized university.
AAO (Chartered Accountant) Bachelor’s Degree + Passed Final Examination of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) + Membership number.
AAO (Actuarial) Bachelor’s Degree + Passed 6 or more papers of Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) / Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) UK as on notification date.
AAO (Legal) LL.B (Bachelor of Law) with enrollment at Bar Council as an Advocate.
AAO (Rajbhasha / Hindi) Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level.
