LIC AAO Specialist Exam Pattern

    1. Preliminary Examination (Online – Objective)

1. Qualifying in nature (marks not counted for final merit).

2. Total Duration: 60 minutes

   
   

   ⚠️ Note: English marks are not added to merit; only qualifying.

   2. Main Examination (Online – Objective + Descriptive)

   This is the most important stage.

• Qualifying only, not counted for merit.

3. Interview

• Weightage: 60 marks

• Minimum qualifying marks:

  • UR/EWS/OBC: 30

  • SC/ST/PwBD: 27

• Final selection = Mains (Objective) + Interview

4. Final Selection & Medical

• Marks of Prelims + Descriptive (English) are not counted.

• Only Mains Objective + Interview determine final merit.

• Candidates undergo a medical test before appointment.

• Mains → Professional Knowledge + Reasoning + GK + Insurance Awareness (300 marks)

• Descriptive English → Qualifying only

• Interview → 60 marks

• Final Merit = Mains Objective + Interview
