Steps to Apply Online for Railway JE Exam

1. Visit the Official RRB Website

Go to the official RRB website for your respective region. Each zone has its own RRB website. Some examples include:

2. Find the Notification

  • On the homepage, look for a section called "Latest Notification" or "Employment Notice".
  • Click on the relevant notification for Railway JE Exam (it will be titled something like CEN XX/Year).
  • Read the notification carefully to understand the eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and other important details.

3. Register Online

  • After reading the notification, look for the "Apply Online" link or "New Registration" link.
  • If you are a new user, click on "New Registration" to create an account.
  • You will need to provide basic personal details such as name, contact information, and Aadhar number.
  • Choose a username and password for future login.
  • Provide an email address and phone number for communication and OTP verification.
  • Fill out the CAPTCHA (security check).
  • Submit the details to generate your Registration Number and Password.

4. Complete the Application Form

  • Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
  • Fill out the application form with the following details:
  • Personal details: Name, date of birth, gender, nationality, etc.
  • Educational qualifications: Degree/Diploma details in relevant engineering fields.
  • Examination preferences: Choose your preferred exam center and RRB zone.
  • Category: SC/ST/OBC/General/PwD.
  • Photo and signature: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per the specified size and format (usually JPEG/PNG format).

5. Upload Documents

  • Upload the required documents:
  • Photograph (scanned, in JPEG format).
  • Signature (scanned, in JPEG format).
  • Educational certificates (if applicable).
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).
  • PwD certificate (if applicable).

6. Pay the Application Fee

  • After filling out the form, you will be asked to pay the application fee. The fee is usually as follows:
  • For General/OBC candidates: ₹500 (Approx).
  • For SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Female candidates: ₹250 (Approx).

Payment options:

  • Online Payment: Debit card, credit card, net banking.
  • Offline Payment: Through SBI branches (if available).

7. Submit the Application

  • After payment, verify all the details you have entered.
  • Submit your application form and take a printout of the completed application for future reference.

8. Download the Acknowledgement

  • After submission, you will receive an acknowledgment of your application.
  • Save or print the acknowledgment page for your records.

9. Admit Card

  • The admit card for the First Stage CBT will be issued by the respective RRB a few weeks before the exam date.
  • You can download it by logging into your account on the RRB website.
