1. Nationality

A candidate must be:

  • Indian citizen, or
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, or other eligible nations with the intention of permanent settlement.

2. Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications depending on the post:

a. Junior Engineer (JE):

A Diploma or Degree in Engineering in relevant disciplines, such as:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Instrumentation and Control
  • Information Technology

b. Junior Engineer (Information Technology):

  • A Diploma/Degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Applications
  • Other related fields

c. Depot Material Superintendent (DMS):

  • A Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline.

d. Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA):

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with:
  • Physics and Chemistry as main subjects, or
  • Equivalent qualifications recognized by the government.

Note:

  • Candidates awaiting final results or appearing in the final year of their course are not eligible to apply.
  • Only qualifications from recognized universities or institutions are accepted.

3. Age Limit

a. General Age Criteria:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 33 years

b. Age Relaxation:

The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories as follows:

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (up to 36 years)
  • SC/ST: 5 years (up to 38 years)

PwD (Persons with Disabilities):

  • General: 10 years
  • OBC: 13 years
  • SC/ST: 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to the extent of service rendered in the armed forces plus 3 years, subject to a maximum of 40 years.
  • J&K Domiciled Candidates (1980-1989): 5 years.

4. Medical Standards

Candidates must meet the required medical fitness standards for the position they are applying for:

  • Vision requirements may vary based on the post.
  • Color vision, near vision, and distant vision are evaluated during the medical examination.

5. Other Criteria

  • Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in Hindi, English, or any other official language of the region they are applying to.
  • Aadhaar Requirement: An Aadhaar card is mandatory for registration.
