You can apply for the SSC CGL exam online through the official SSC website. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

  • Go to the official website of SSC: https://ssc.nic.in/ 
  • On the homepage, click on the “Apply” tab.

Step 2: Register on SSC Portal (For New Users)

  • Click on “New User? Register Now” under the Login section.
  • Fill in the basic details: 

1. Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth.

2. Email ID and Mobile Number (for communication).

  •  Create a username and password.
  • Verify your email ID and mobile number using the OTP sent.
  • Submit the registration form.

Note: If you are already registered, log in using your registration number and password.

Step 3: Fill Out the Application Form

  • Log in with your credentials.
  • Under Latest Notifications, click on "SSC CGL Exam" application link.

Fill in the required details:

  • Personal Information: Address, Gender, Category, etc.
  • Educational Qualification: Degree, Year of Passing, Percentage.
  • Post Preferences: Select posts based on eligibility and interest.

Upload scanned documents:

  • Photograph (20–50 KB, JPG format).
  • Signature (10–20 KB, JPG format).

Tip: Check the size and format requirements carefully before uploading.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

  • Fee: ₹100 for General/OBC candidates.

Fee Exemption:

  • SC/ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from fees.

Payment Options:

  • Online: Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI.
  • Offline: Challan (SBI Bank)—Download challan and pay at the bank.

Step 5: Submit and Print Application

  • Review the entire form carefully to avoid errors.
  • Click Submit and download the final application PDF.
  • Print the application form and fee receipt for future reference.

Important Points to Remember

  • Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet age, education, and physical standards before applying.
  • Deadline: Apply before the last date mentioned in the notification.
  • Correction Window: If you make errors, SSC allows a brief correction period after submission.
  • Admit Card: Once applied, download the admit card from the portal when released.
