The RBI Grade B Exam Pattern consists of three phases:
1. Phase-I (Preliminary Exam)
- Mode: Online (Objective Type)
- Duration: 120 minutes (2 hours)
- Total Marks: 200
Key Points:
- Cut-off marks are set for each section and overall.
- It is qualifying in nature, meaning marks are not counted in the final merit.
- Candidates must clear this phase to move to Phase-II.
2. Phase-II (Main Exam)
- Mode: Online (Objective + Descriptive)
- Number of Papers: 3
- Total Marks: 300
- Duration: 270 minutes (Combined for all papers)
Key Points:
- Paper I tests knowledge of economics, social issues, and current affairs.
- Paper II evaluates writing skills through essays, precis, and comprehension.
- Paper III focuses on finance, management principles, and banking awareness.
- Marks scored in Phase-II are considered for the final selection.
3. Phase-III (Interview)
- Marks: 75
- Candidates are assessed on: Communication skills, Subject knowledge, Awareness of economic and financial issues
- Interviews may be conducted in English or Hindi based on the candidate's preference.
4. Final Selection
- Based on the combined scores of Phase-II and the Interview.
- A merit list is prepared, and candidates are selected for appointment.
