Scroll down to find the “Opportunities” or “Recruitments” section (usually at the bottom of the homepage).
Click on it — this will take you to the circle-wise recruitment page.
Each state/circle (for example, Karnataka Circle, Tamil Nadu Circle, Maharashtra Circle) issues a separate notification.
Click on your circle’s notification link — it opens a PDF with details like:
Number of vacancies (Postman / Mail Guard / MTS)
Eligibility criteria
Application start and end dates
Exam pattern and syllabus
Official application portal link
There are two main portals used:
https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in — used for many India Post recruitments (including Postman, Mail Guard, GDS).
Some circles use dedicated portals like https://dopsurecruitment.in
or https://tamilnadupost.nic.in
.
(Your circle’s notification will clearly mention which site to use.)
Click “New Registration”.
Enter basic details: name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, and select your circle.
You’ll get a registration number and password/OTP on your mobile/email.
Log in with your credentials.
Fill in personal details, educational qualification, and communication address.
Select the post(s) you wish to apply for — Postman and/or Mail Guard.
Upload scanned copies of:
Passport-size photograph (as per size mentioned)
Signature
Relevant certificates (educational, caste, driving license if required)
Pay the fee online through UPI / debit card / credit card / net banking.
Typical fee: ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS (women, SC/ST/PwBD often exempted).
Wait for payment confirmation.
Review all entered details carefully.
Click “Final Submit.”
Take a printout or PDF copy of the application form and payment receipt for your records.
After submission, keep checking:
The India Post website or your circle’s portal for admit card, exam schedule, and result updates.
Admit cards will be available online only — no postal dispatch.
Apply only through official websites (never via third-party or job portals).
Ensure all documents are clearly scanned and within file-size limits.
You can apply for only one circle at a time.
Keep your registration number and password safe for future logins.
Always check eligibility (age, education, local language) before applying.
Incomplete or incorrect forms may be rejected.
