How to Apply Online for DGCA Air Pilot Exam

To appear for the DGCA pilot exams (CPL, ATPL, and other pilot licensing exams), candidates must apply through DGCA’s Pariksha Portal. Below is a step-by-step guide to the online application process.

Step 1: Register on DGCA Pariksha Portal

Fill in the required details:

  • Name (as per Class 10/12 certificate)
  • Date of Birth
  • Email ID & Mobile Number
  • Educational Qualification (10+2 with Physics & Math)
  • Aadhar Card or Passport (for ID verification)
  • Create a password and complete the OTP verification.
  • After submission, a User ID and Password will be generated.

Step 2: Apply for Computer Number (Mandatory for First-Time Applicants)

  • A Computer Number is a unique ID required to apply for DGCA exams.
  • Login to the Pariksha portal using your credentials.
  • Click on "Apply for Computer Number".

Upload scanned copies of:

  • Class 10 & 12 Marksheet (must have Physics & Math)
  • Aadhar Card or Passport
  • Recent Passport-size Photograph
  • Signature (scanned copy)
  • Submit the application. DGCA will verify your details and issue a Computer Number within a few weeks.

Step 3: Apply for DGCA Pilot Exams

  • Login to the Pariksha Portal.
  • Click on "Apply for Exam" and select the appropriate exam category (CPL, ATPL, or PPL).
  • Choose the exam subjects (Air Navigation, Meteorology, Air Regulations, etc.).
  • Select exam center and preferred exam date (as per availability).
  • Pay the exam fee online through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
  • Submit the application and download the admit card once released.

Step 4: Appear for the DGCA Exam

Reach the exam center on the scheduled date with:

  • Admit Card (downloaded from Pariksha portal)
  • Original ID Proof (Aadhar, Passport, or Driving License)Exams are computer-based (CBT) and conducted at DGCA-approved centers.

Step 5: Check DGCA Exam Results

  • Results are published on the Pariksha portal within a few weeks.
  • Login and check your score. Passing marks: 70% per subject.
  • If failed, you can reapply for the next session.

✔ Apply well in advance as verification takes time.

✔ Ensure your documents are correct & clear to avoid rejection.

✔ Check DGCA notifications regularly for exam schedules.

✔ CPL candidates must clear RTR (Aero) exam separately (conducted by WPC).
