The SSC CPO (Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization) exam pattern consists of several stages:

Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination):

  • Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Marks: 200 marks

Sections:


  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • The questions will be bilingual (English and Hindi), except for the English section.

Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET):

  • This stage tests the candidate's physical fitness, including parameters such as height, chest measurement, and endurance activities like running, long jump, high jump, and shot put.
  • Qualifying in nature.

Paper-II (Computer-Based Examination):

  • Type: Objective MCQs
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Marks: 200 marks

Subject: English Language & Comprehension

  • Focuses on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing ability.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Medical Examination:

  • Candidates who qualify for the PET/PST and Paper-II are subjected to a detailed medical examination to assess their fitness for the post.

Document Verification:

  • Candidates who clear all the above stages are required to present the necessary documents for verification.

Key Highlights:

  • The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II only.
  • Physical tests and medical examinations are qualifying in nature and do not contribute to the final merit score.
