The SSC CPO (Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization) exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of candidates for various posts in the central police organizations like:

  • Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces), and other organizations
  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF (Central Industrial Security Force)

Selection Process:

  • Candidates who qualify Paper-I are eligible for Paper-II.
  • After passing Paper-II, candidates are called for the Physical Test (PET/PST).

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CPO salary includes a basic salary, allowances, and perks: 

  • Basic salary :The starting salary for the SSC CPO is Rs 35,400, which can increase to Rs 45,000–55,000 based on increments 
  • Gross salary : The gross salary, including allowances, is Rs 47,496 
  • In-hand salary : The in-hand salary, after deductions, is Rs 41,231, and can go as high as Rs 1,12,000

Job Role of SSC CPO Sub-Inspector

The role varies slightly depending on the force, but it is an officer-level post with field and supervisory responsibilities.
