The IBPS SO Exam Pattern consists of three stages:

1. Preliminary Exam

• Mode: Online (Objective Type)
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Total Marks: 125

Section-wise Pattern

Key Notes:

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
• Qualifying Nature: Marks are not counted in the final selection; only used to shortlist for Mains.

2. Main Exam

• Mode: Online
• Duration: 45 Minutes (for all posts)
• Total Marks: 60

Section-wise Pattern

Key Notes:

• Professional Knowledge: Questions specific to the chosen post.
• Rajbhasha Adhikari: Includes Objective and Descriptive sections related to Hindi language and translation.
• No Negative Marking in Descriptive Questions.

3. Interview Round

• Marks: 100

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• General: 40%
• SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 35%
• The final merit list is prepared based on 80:20 weightage for Mains and Interview scores, respectively.

Final Selection Process

• Prelims: Qualify to reach Mains.
• Mains: Marks are counted for final merit.
• Interview: Combined with Mains for final selection.
