The eligibility criteria for the M. Arch PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) are as follows:

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized university or institution.
  • The degree must be recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) or any other equivalent authority.

2. Minimum Marks Requirement

  • General Category: Candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their B.Arch degree.
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/Category-1): A relaxation of 5% is provided, requiring at least 45% aggregate marks.

3. COA Registration

In some cases, candidates may need to have a valid Council of Architecture (COA) registration number. Ensure this is completed during or after your undergraduate program if required.

4. Domicile Criteria

Candidates seeking admission under the Karnataka quota must meet the domicile requirements, such as:

  • Completing their studies in Karnataka for a specified duration.
  • Providing proof of residence or domicile certificates.
  • Details of eligibility for non-Karnataka candidates (if applicable) are typically outlined in the exam notification.

5. Work Experience (if applicable)

For sponsored candidates (those working in government or private organizations), a minimum work experience (e.g., 2 years) in the field of architecture may be required. Refer to the official notification for specifics.

6. Additional Criteria

  • Candidates with backlogs in their B.Arch degree are not eligible until they clear all subjects and provide proof of completion before admission.
  • Final-year B.Arch students can apply provisionally, but they must produce their final results at the time of admission.
