The Railway RPF Constable Exam Eligibility Criteria is defined by the Indian Railways to ensure that only eligible candidates apply for the post. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

1. Nationality : The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

Age Relaxation:

The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories as per government rules:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to the extent of service rendered in defense plus 3 years

Other categories such as candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, central government employees, etc., may have additional relaxations as specified in the official notification.

3. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognized board or equivalent.

Note: Educational qualifications must be met by the last date of application.

5. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates must meet the following physical performance standards:

For Male Candidates:

  • Run: 1600 meters in 5 minutes 45 seconds
  • High Jump: 4 feet
  • Long Jump: 14 feet

For Female Candidates:

  • Run: 800 meters in 3 minutes 40 seconds
  • High Jump: 3 feet
  • Long Jump: 9 feet

6. Medical Standards

  • Candidates must be medically fit and free from any physical defect or deformity.
  • Visual standards and other health criteria will be specified in the official notification.

Important Notes:

  • Fulfilling the eligibility criteria is mandatory; failure to meet any condition will result in disqualification.
  • Proof of eligibility (e.g., educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates) must be produced during Document Verification.
